Connect Claude — step by step
After this, Claude can help you clarify Values, Purpose and Vision — and save the wording into your Find Your Why path. No retyping. You need a Find Your Why account and a Claude account.
Open Customize in Claude
Open Claude. In the left sidebar, open Customize.
Switch to Connectors
Open Connectors (labelled Integrations / Connectors — look for connections to other apps).
Add
Top right: Add (not Discover — Find Your Why may not be in the public list yet).
Name and address
Upper field: Find Your Why
Lower field: https://mcp.findyourwhy.coach (exact URL, no trailing slash). Then Continue.
Add (leave defaults)
Claude may show a long options page marked Detected. Scroll down → Add. Nothing to configure.
Connect
Find Your Why appears in the list — click Connect. “Added” is not the same as connected.
Sign in to Find Your Why
Our login appears — your password stays with us, not with Claude. Approve what Claude may do, then return to Claude.
Done
Try in a normal Claude chat: “Help me draft my Values as 3–5 clear norms.” · “Propose a Purpose sentence: I [contribution] so that [impact].” · “Turn my notes into a one-sentence Purpose I can say out loud.”
ChatGPT · Grok · Perplexity
Same address, different menus — reuse the Claude steps and swap the provider name. A note on plans: Claude connects even on the free plan (one connector); ChatGPT, Grok and Perplexity need a paid plan for connectors. We ship the Claude guide first; the others follow as their connectors work the same way.
If something sticks
- Connect does nothing — update your browser or use the Claude app.
- Claude can only read — disconnect Find Your Why in Claude, then set it up again.
- Can’t find my path — use the same Find Your Why account you signed in with.
- Want to disconnect — Claude → Find Your Why entry → Disconnect.
